Confidentiality

​Confidentiality as vital to the therapeutic relationship. You can be assured that the information you share with the psychologist will be maintained in strictest confidence in accordance with ethical and legal requirements. There are specific situations in which a psychologist is legally mandated to share confidential information and these will be discussed with you in your first session. Please ask your psychologist if you have any unanswered questions regarding confidentiality.

Appointment

The best way to schedule an appointment with us is to use our online scheduling software. If you click "schedule an appointment" it will take you to a third-party website where you can use our online schedule to find an appointment time which works for you. This website is secure, encrypted, and completely confidential. If you would like to talk before scheduling your appointment, please call and leave a voicemail or email.  Every attempt will be made to get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Payment

Counselling sessions are offered based on the recommended rate for psychology services in Newfoundland, $210 per 50 minute session. 

Fees are payable by credit card, cash, or e-transfer at the beginning or end of your session.

Coverage

Health insurance - Most health insurance plans will cover the majority of your fee, and will reimburse you when you provide a receipt. Check to see if your health insurance plan will require a referral from your doctor.  You may have coverage available through your workplace's Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Direct billing is available for most EAPs. ​

 

Cancellation Policy

We ask that you please provide 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. You may cancel or reschedule online, or by calling or emailing us. The hourly rate will be charged for missed appointments or appointments cancelled without the proper notice. 

Weather 

• In the case of inclement weather, the office will be closed and your appointment will be rescheduled to the next available appointment time. We will follow the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District with regard to closures.  However, continuing appointments virtually, if appropriate, may be an option.
